Short, because there isn't much.
This site does not track you
There is no analytics on politynova.com. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no PostHog, no Plausible, no tag manager, no session recording, no heatmaps. Nothing here sets a cookie, and nothing is written to your browser's local storage.
This is deliberate rather than accidental. Poliscope is built for researchers and journalists, some of whom work in places where being profiled carries a real cost. Shipping surveillance into a product that sells epistemic hygiene would be a bad trade.
One thing the page reads locally
To decide whether to show prices in euros or dollars, the page reads your browser's time zone and language setting. That happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and the page has forgotten it by the time you leave.
If you fill in a form
The two forms on this site — the access request and the advisory enquiry — collect your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to write in the message box. They are handled by Formspree, a form-processing service based in the United States, which passes the submission on to us by email.
We use that information to reply to you, and to keep track of who has asked for access. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Sending a form is the only way this site collects anything about you. If you don't fill one in, we have no idea you were here.
Fonts
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when the page loads. We are in the process of moving these onto our own server so that stops happening. Until that ships, this line is here so you know.
Your data, and getting rid of it
If you're in the EU or the UK you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Honestly, you have that right with us regardless of where you are — we would rather not keep anything you would prefer we didn't.
